The Silver City/Grant County TEA Party Patriots will meet on Tuesday, September 2, at 6:00 PM at the Red Barn restaurant with doors open at 5:00 PM for those wishing a meal.

The topic for this meeting will be "The Border Crisis, part 1", featuring several DVD videos dealing with the border situation and featuring a 15 minute video message from Zach Taylor, retired 26-year Border Patrol Officer and past Chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers. His message will be not only surprising to most of us, but also quite disturbing!

The Silver City/Grant County TEA Party Patriots will hold a second, special meeting on Tuesday, September 16, at 6:00 PM at the Red Barn restaurant with doors open at 5:00 PM for those wishing a meal.

The topic for this meeting will be "The Border Crisis, part 2", featuring our speaker from Roswell, Jeff Everly, Vice Chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers. Jeff was a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent when he left the U.S. Border Patrol in 2007. He retired from Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in 2011, and was the OIC for the Ogden ICE Office and a Supervisory Detention & Deportation Officer. He has spent over 26 years enforcing the laws regarding immigration and narcotics, and is currently the Vice Chairman of NAFBPO.

Jeff will be joined by Silver City's Bob Pelham who has travelled extensively along the NM/AZ border areas and who will give an update and photos on his recent border experiences. Bob's many Facebook postings from the border are well known in our area!

An open discussion and question period will follow after both presentations. The public is encouraged to attend both September meetings. This border crisis is going to affect the entire nation, not just the border states, and will be a huge issue in the 2014 elections and probably the 2016 elections.
