Suspicious vehicle
Kirkland Road and Flury Lane
Caller advised the car is driving really slow around the area and thinks they are doing this because they want to steal things from property owners.

North Fork Walnut Creek
Caller advised he has not seen his neighbor in about 10 days and her truck is parked there. Deputy made contact and neighbor advised everything is OK and will contact caller.

Domestic disturbance
Adams Lane – Arenas Valley
Caller advised her son is at her house and is being disrespectful and causing problems. Advised it is verbal and abusive and he is trying to take the child away from the mother.

Assault
Grant County Detention Center
Caller advised one of their medical staff requests to speak to a New Mexico State Police officer in reference to an inmate grabbing her arm while she was working on her and she wants to pursue charges. NMSP was advised of the call.

Welfare check
Ridge Road
Caller requests a welcheck on two individuals because she received a third party call advising that someone shot at their residence. Deputy determined negative on any shots, but did determine there was a verbal domestic and the female is packing up some belongings and will be leaving for the night.

Domestic disturbance
Century Drive – San Lorenzo
Caller advised her neighbors who live right behind her are fighting and arguing. Deputy had contact with male, but female took off walking prior to arrival.

Weapons fired
N. Swan Street
Caller advised she just heard 2 gun shots possibly from a rifle. Deputy had negative contact in area of Cain but will patrol the area.

Tuesday, Aug. 19

Welfare check
W. Highway 180 and Snake Hill
Caller advised an elderly male is standing naked by a red pickup with a camper. Deputy had negative contact.

Harassment
No location
Caller advised a named female phoned her demanding a gun she gave caller's brother 10 years ago. The first caller advised that the second caller called her again today saying she knows the first caller has her brother's gun and wants it back. First caller advised she does not have the gun. Deputy called second caller and advised her to stop calling the first caller. Deputy advised second caller was not happy and seemed intoxicated demanding to know who my boss was. (Hope the reader can figure it out, it was tough for me. The Grant County Beat does not publish names from the blotter.)

Fraud/embezzlement
11820 E. Highway 180
Caller advised they just received a fake $20 bill.

Welfare check
Artcher Road
Caller advised a 52-year-old female threatened suicide. Advised unknown on weapons. EMS advised signed refusal.

Weapons fired
Malachite Avenue – Tyrone
Caller advised she and her neighbor have heard about 3 shots. Third caller from Covelite Avenue heard 4 shots possibly coming from a high-powered rifle. Deputy determined it was a toy cannon shooting by the water tanks.

Welfare check
Artcher Road
Caller requested a welcheck on a 52-year-old female who is very depressed and suicidal. Deputy requested EMS. Deputy made contact – negative on wanting to hurt herself, but she is very depressed.

Caller advised about 3 subjects yelling in Spanish and fighting in front of his house.

Wednesday, Aug. 20

Disturbance
Mountain View Drive
Caller advised the subjects at location have been drinking, partying and arguing all night long and no one can sleep. Deputy advised no one is outside the home and it is quiet. Deputy advised the front and back were spotlighted with no sign of anyone.

Vehicle burglary
Highways 152 and 35
Caller advised some Department of Transportation vehicles were broken into and items, and possibly gasoline, were stolen.

Larceny
Little Walnut Road
Caller advised a gun had been stolen.

Burglary
Cove Road – Arenas Valley
Caller advised of a burglary.

Weapons fired
Paloma Street – Arenas Valley
Caller advised the last couple of nights between 10 p.m. and midnight shots have been fired in the Paloma Street area, possibly coming from a named residence.

Domestic disturbance
Coleman Drive
Caller advised she and her husband are verbally fighting and she wants him out of the house. Caller advised their kids are there. Advised negative on drinking. Advised he won't leave.

Thursday, Aug. 21

Intoxicated driver
Hermosa Street – Hanover
Caller advised his neighbor just left in a white Dodge pickup and is intoxicated. Caller advised neighbor is an alcoholic who drinks every day.

Burglary
Racetrack Road
Received a call about a burglary at a residence off Racetrack –unknown address. Deputy set a patrol for next 2 months.

Loud music
Pheasant Drive
Caller advised really loud music coming from this location. Deputy had negative contact with any loud music.
