SILVER CITY, N.M. -- The Gila National Forest Supervisor's Office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

This closure includes the Silver City, Black Range, Glenwood, Reserve, Quemado and Wilderness ranger districts on the Gila National Forest.

The Gila Visitor Center on State Highway 15 will be open for a Wilderness 50th Anniversary event on Sunday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on this event contact the Gila Visitor Center at (575) 536-9461 or the Wilderness Ranger District at (575) 536-2250.
