Deming: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office with Brasier Construction will be placing a Nova Chip Overlay on a section of NM 11 from Columbus (mile marker 4.7) to Deming (mile marker 27.7).

The contractor is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 2, with working hours from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm daily including weekends. Motorists will encounter lane restriction in 2 mile increments as a pilot car assists with moving traffic safely through the work zone. The contractor will start at mile marker 4.7 and work northbound in 4 mile increments to cover both north and southbound lanes. The contractor will repeat this process daily until the project is complete by Sunday, September 28.

The NMDOT will post traffic updates as they are reported on their road advisory page www.nmroads.com which can be retrieved by calling 511 or 1-800-432-4269.
