Marilyn Berry, one of Literacy Link - Leamos's founding members, retired in June after 13 years with the organization. Initially a Board member and volunteer, she served as Office Manager many years.

Her retirement bash will take place on Wednesday, September 24, from 4 to 7 pm at the First United Methodist Church at 300 W. College Ave in Silver City.

Community members who would like to attend should RSVP at 388-0892. Literacy Link-Leamos will be accepting donations toward her retirement gift at the organization's office, located at 515 W. College Ave in Silver City at the Silver City Public Library. Office hours are Mondays and Thursdays, 12 to 5 pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
