Thanks bunches to Calvary Christian Academy for cooking lunch this last Friday.

We are still having our $2 a bag sale in the thrift store and Bridget will be teaching her nutrition class this Friday morning.

The cold weather shelter is slated to start Nov 1. We are all set up for overnight hosts, but still need greeters who will come in 5:30-7:30pm to check guys in. Please let me know if you would be interested.

We will be needing cooks to help us out with Holiday meals. This is our off year and Thanksgiving dinner will be on Wednesday, November 26th and Christmas dinner will be on Wednesday, Dec 24th.

We will also be needing volunteers to help with a little bit of prep the afternoon before each day and people to hand out sandwiches and leftovers the day after on the holiday themselves. (We rotate years, one year cooking on the actual holiday itself and the next year cooking on the day before, so our staff can spend time with their families also).

And a huge thanks to El Refugio for their award they recently gave to the Mission for our service to the community. We couldn't do this kind of work without your help, and all credit really goes to you guys out there!
