Central Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 27-31. Each day a theme is being accentuated. Prizes will be given through daily drawings for students that have on their ribbons.

• Monday students will come to school dressed in camouflage for "Join the Fight Against Drugs". There will be a visit from the Sheriff's Dept. and Daren the Lion.
• Tuesday students will wear red for the slogan "I CAN Make Good Choices"and students are asked to bring a canned or non-perishable food.
• Wednesday brings "Stomp Out Drugs" as students mix up shoes and socks.
• Thursday, for the slogan "I Mustache You Not To Do Drugs" students will wear mustaches and cowboy/cowgirl gear.
• Friday morning will culminate in a parade through Santa Clara as students show off their characters for "My Character Counts" (in costume). This will start approximately 9:00 and everyone is invited to join and cheer on the students. The parade will start in front of the school on Cedar St., turn down Prescott and go to Encino St. and from there to Bayard St. The parade will continue to Oak St. turn and go back to Prescott then back to Cedar St. in front of the school.
