Wreaths Across America will provide sponsored wreaths for Fort Bayard National Cemetery again this year. The wreaths are placed on the grave markers at state and national cemeteries each December to remember veterans and loved ones over the holiday season.

This year, the Nationwide Remembrance Day will take place Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

A volunteer opportunity to place wreaths on the graves the day before the ceremony will take place Friday, Dec. 12. For those wishing to place wreaths on specific graves, they should pick up the wreaths between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., Dec. 12, and place them on the graves of their choice. Help will be available. Placement of all wreaths will take place from 10 a.m. to noon that day at Fort Bayard.

The deadline to order wreaths for Fort Bayard National Cemetery is Nov. 24, by mail, or online by Dec. 1. No grave specific requests can be placed when ordering online. When ordering online, please use these codes to credit Fort Bayard:

Location ID NMFBNC
Group ID: NM0004

For every two wreaths ordered, an additional third wreath will be placed on a grave that has no wreath.
