December 1 is recognized around the world as International AIDS Day. It is a day designated to remember those that have been lost to HIV/AIDS and to recommit to the work still to be done to control a disease transmitted through very human behavior.

LGBT Grant County will be hosting a Candlelight Vigil on Monday, December 1 at 7:00Pm. The vigil will be in the courtyard of 301 College Ave, Silver City. Light refreshments will be provided afterwards.

Persons impacted directly and indirectly are invited to silently remember those lost or to relate memories both past and near present. We will remember well known and unknown individuals who succumbed to a disease which has no prejudices but can destroy families and friends.
