QUEMADO, N.M.; Feb. 3, 2015 - Quemado Ranger District employees will conduct an orientation session for individuals interested in Administratively Determined (AD) positions for the 2015 Wildland Fire Season. Individuals recruited for temporary AD positions work on engines and suppression crews and can expect to be called to duty frequently.

Interested individuals must attend this AD Orientation scheduled for Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Quemado Ranger District. Please plan to bring your lunch for the day-long session.

Attendees must bring the following documents to the orientation; two forms of personal identification, one of which must have a photo. Personal identification can be current state issued driver's license, current passport, or social security card. Additionally, bring your bank account routing information for direct deposit purposes.

Application packets are now available at the Quemado Ranger District. It is strongly suggested to have the application completed prior to the orientation. Individuals must also pass the Work Capacity Test which involves walking three miles with a 45-pound pack in 46 minutes. Good physical fitness is a critical factor in passing the test. The Work Capacity Test will be administered on April 8, 2015.
