The Silver City/Grant County TEA Party Patriots will host a speaker on the Wolf Reintroduction Program on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00 PM , at the Silver City Woman's Club on Silver Heights Blvd.

At the SC/GC TEA Party's quarterly meeting, the guest speaker will be Laura Schneberger, President of The Gila Livestock Growers Association. Schneberger and her husband have been ranching in New Mexico for almost thirty years, and she has been President of the Gila Livestock Growers Assn. For 18 years.

She will be showing and commenting on a thirty-minute documentary, "Wolves in Government Clothing," some of which features events in our immediate area.

Last month, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service expanded almost fourfold the areas in Arizona and New Mexico where the Mexican gray wolf will be allowed habitat, and tripled the targeted wolf population to 300 - 325. The proposal has met opposition from both livestock growers and environmentalists.

All are invited to learn more about this controversial issue.
