A community hike is scheduled for this coming Sunday, March 8, 1:00p.m. on the Dragonfly Trail.

Everyone is invited to join the next community hike scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 1:00p.m to 2:00p.m., on the Dragonfly Trail in Arenas Valley. During the hike, Bob Schiowitz will give an interpretive talk regarding the petroglyphs near the trail. The community is encouraged to meet in the parking lot adjacent to the trailhead.

(Directions: Look for the Dragonfly Trailhead sign on US 180 about 1.5 miles west of the Fort Bayard turnoff. Take Arenas Valley Road northward 1 mile to the parking area on the right side of the road near the sharp curve.

The hike is approximately three miles round trip and is on a fairly level surface that has only minor surface and grade changes. Public restrooms are available. Please be prepared with sturdy hiking shoes, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, sunscreen and water.
