Saturday April 4, Field Trip to Deming

Enjoy early migrants at Spring Canyon in the Florida Mountains near Rockhound State Park. Target birds are Rufous-crowned and black-chinned sparrows, Rock and Canyon wrens, and Crissal Thrashers. The canyon hike is moderate to strenuous. Bring lunch and water and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. A second stop will be the Deming sewage ponds - a great place to view ducks and waterbirds.

In Silver City, meet at the WNMU Fine Arts Center Parking Lot at 7AM to arrange car pooling. In Deming meet our trip leader Larry Malone at Burger King at 8:30.
