Allingham-Golding American Legion Post 18 is again sponsoring Boys and Girls State this summer. Students chosen will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about democracy, citizenship and patriotism through simulated activities at city, county and state levels of governments. There will also be interesting and fun filled programs and activities. Local students will attend with students from across the state and two Boys State Citizens will be selected to attend Boys Nation in Washington, DC. Later in the summer.

Girls State applicants may register on line but applicants for Boys State must not apply on line as their attendance must be approved by the local American Legion Post.
