The public is invited to celebrate National Parks Week from Saturday April 18-Sunday April 25. The week will kick off with "Junior Ranger Day" on Saturday April 18. Children of all ages are invited to take part in fun events, including "Wildlife Olympics" "Indian corn grinding" "Bowl and pictograph paining" "Leave No Trace Camping" and "Storytelling with Bones, Horns, Antlers and Hides." These fun events will teach about the people and animals that have lived at the Cliff Dwellings. All participants will earn a Junior Ranger Badge. Events will take place both at the Gila Visitor Center and the Lower Scorpion Campground. Events start at 9:00 AM and end at 3PM.

Both Saturday April 18th and Sunday April 19th are "fee free" days. All entrance fees to the Monument are waived both days. This is the first of many events leading up to the National Park Service Centennial in August of 2016. So come on out and "Find Your Park" this spring
