The New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services (NMDVS) has relocated its offices in Carlsbad and Silver City in moves which NMDVS Secretary Jack Fox said were designed to provide easier access to veterans and their families in both areas.

The Carlsbad office is now at City Hall in downtown, at 101 North Halagueno Street. The contact information for NMDVS Veterans' Service Officer Dagmar Youngberg remains the same: She can be reached by phone at (575) 885-4939 or Dagmar.youngberg@state.nm.us.

The Silver City office is now at the Silver City Town Annex Building, at 1211 North Hudson Street. NMDVS Veterans' Service Officer Bradley Brock's contact information remains the same:
(575) 538-2377 or bradleya.brock@state.nm.us.

"In recent years, veterans in both cities have expressed a desire for our offices to be located closer to town," said NMDVS Secretary Fox. "These new offices are in the heart of both cities, which should make it much easier for veterans and their families to get the assistance they need."

As with all NMDVS field offices, "walk-ins" are always welcome, but it is strongly recommended that veterans schedule an appointment to avoid long wait times.

Go to www.dvs.state.nm.us  and go to the FIELD OFFICES link for a list of all eighteen NMDVS field offices. Or call the toll-free NMDVS number at 1-(866) 433-8387.
