QUEMADO, N.M.; May 8, 2015 - Visitor information and services will no longer be available at the Luna Work Center in Luna, NM effective June 1, 2015. The decision to end these services at the Work Center was part of a comprehensive process to develop a workforce organization that would allow the forest to accomplish the program of work and also reduce costs over the next five years.

A full range of customer services such as purchasing forest maps, Gila NF fuelwood permits, and other forest products will continue to be provided by the Reserve Ranger District in Reserve, NM, the Quemado Ranger District, in Quemado NM, or any of the Ranger Stations across the Gila National Forest.

Visitor information about the Gila National Forest and Quemado Ranger District can be obtained by calling 575-773-4678, or visiting the Quemado District office during business hours, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
