Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest announces the call for nominations for the 2015 Women of Distinction Awards.

The Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest annual Women of Distinction event brings together and recognizes purpose-driven, women leaders in business, government and philanthropy, who, like our girls, are dedicated to service and leadership. Women of Distinction honorees will be chosen by a committee review based on their contributions to the community, both professionally and personally.

Eligible nominees must:
Live or work in Doña Ana, Grant, Luna, or Otero counties
Exemplify extraordinary civic, professional or philanthropic commitment and achievement
Be a positive role model for girls

Previous membership or experience with Girl Scouts is not required.

Nominations have been extended and will now be accepted through Thursday, June 18, 2015. Women of Distinction will receive their recognition at a luncheon event in Las Cruces, NM on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.
