The motorcycle run last Saturday to raise food for homeless vets was awesome with the event starting out with the Star Spangled banner and colors presented by the Marine Corps League. Town Councilor Jose Ray said a few words, there was the blessing of the bikes for safety and they were of on a ride to Mimbres.

When they returned the Vietnam Vets paid tribute to all of the Vets who have come back over the years and a BBQ lunch was prepared by the SHS Class of 1980 and the Gospel Mission. Music was provided by a DJ and overall it was a fun event with 82 riders participating.

Our hats are off to everyone for raising so much food and cash and we may see you again next year!
