Martha Choquette and Sue Bemben of the Town and Country Garden Club have announced that during the month of August special sales will be held at the club €™s thrift store at 606 N. Bullard.

These sales are being held to reduce the inventory of clothing of all types, and many other items as well. The reduction will be leading up to the changeover from summer clothing to fall and winter things which will take place over the Labor Day weekend.

The thrift store is open from 9:00 to 2:00 on Wednesday and Friday and from 8:30 to 2:00 on Saturday.

The garden club wants to thank all the many donors who have made it possible to donate money in turn to a large number of organizations that do good works in Silver City and Grant County. In addition the Town and Country Garden Club maintains the two rose gardens at the west side of Memory Lane Cemetery where ashes of loved ones have been placed for more than thirty years.
