Path2CliffDwelling 336wLeft: "Path to the Cliff Dwelling" an acrylic painting by Camille Painter-Davis won an honorable mention ribbon in the Grant County Art Guild 2015 Members Opening Show. She also won a "People's Choice" award at the show.

One of the Grant County Art Guild's newest members, Camille Painter-Davis, will be a first time Featured Artist at the guild's Pinos Altos Art Gallery this Sunday, August 9th. Camille paints many different subjects and in many different media. Inspired by life experience, vision and research, her work reflects her love of nature and the western lifestyle. Her media choices include gourds, leather, acrylic, watercolor, oil, and mixed media. Camille has already won the compliments of show judges as well as the public in her first season showing in Guild shows.

The guild will feature the photography of FeVa Fotos photographers Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8. FeVa Fotos photography has been published in regional and national publications and has won Best in Show and People's Choice awards as well as other ribbons in Guild shows. As featured artists they will be showing both framed and matted photography and photography transferred to canvas. Tom and Sandy are local photographers, and their work not only includes Silver City and New Mexico scenes but photography from other areas of the west and beyond including balloon fests, wildlife, ancient ruins, snowcapped mountains and flower covered meadows.

The Grant County Art Guild is a non profit organization of 40+ local artists and fine crafters who come together to show and sell their work seasonably at their Pinos Altos Art Gallery. The gallery is located in the historic Hearst Church, 14 Golden Avenue, in the quaint and charming community of Pinos Altos and is open from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays through October 18. Browsers and buyers are always welcomed to tour this interesting old building and gallery. There is never an entry fee.
