An opportunity to learn about, comment and show support for proposed CDT improvements in the Grant County area.

"The Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) invites you to attend an open house to review and discuss proposed trail corridors for the relocation of the section of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDNST) north of Pinos Altos, the Little Walnut area north of Silver City, as well as other areas in the Silver City Ranger District on the Gila National Forest. For the CDNST north of Pinos Altos, a corridor has been identified that utilizes both Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service land. The proposed trail corridors will be evaluated further in an Environmental Assessment that will be developed jointly by the Forest Service and BLM. The open house will take place at the Buckhorn Opera House in Pinos Altos on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 from 5:30-6:30 pm."
