Bernie Sanders Campaign Center to Open October 3

As of noon next Saturday, Grant County Bernie supporters will have a Campaign Center at 215 W. Broadway in Silver City. It's a first in New Mexico, where Sanders support has been growing rapidly.

Yes, there will be bumperstickers, teeshirts, and yard signs. Hot dogs. Burritos. A made-in-the-USA fashion show. Open mic songs and talk. Even a slogan composing contest for all the writers in town for the Southwest Festival of the Written Word.

Flyers about Bernie's platform will be available in both English and Spanish. Video presentations will be shown. In Bernie's Backroom Boutique visitors will find all the good stuff left over from the yard sale the group had on September 12.

After the grand opening, the Campaign Center will be open daily from 12 to 3. Evening events are planned with focus on particular issues of concern in our community.
