MLK RSIn honor of MLK Jr, our FoodCorps Service Members hosted a day of service and it was a great success! We had more than 30 people of all walks of life come throughout the day to help us build Dr. Johnson's compost reactors, share an abundant potluck dinner, watch Selma and discuss MLK's legacy and the influences of race and racism in our culture today. We are so grateful for the participants who shared their time, for the donors who provided us with food, for the food policy council who introduced us to Dr. Johnson's composting technique, and to Karen and Emilio for their efforts to bring our community together to celebrate the legacy of MLK.
