"Caring For Our Community - Why Child Abuse Prevention is Important to Us All"
Tuesday, April 19, 2016 | 6:00pm to 8:00pm
HMS Community Health Center | 1007 N. Pope Street | Silver City, NM
Light refreshments provided
As April is "National Child Abuse Prevention Month" - we will gather to learn about the impact of trauma and adverse childhood events (ACEs) on the neurological and social development of our children. We will also discuss communities that have decided to become "trauma informed" to reduce the transmission of ACEs, and the impact of such experiences on the lifespan of their children.
There will be presentations and plenty of time for questions, discussion, and planning.
