Dear Friends,

Our dear Alan Mong, who was an active volunteer for Hospice, for the Volunteer Center, for the United Church of Christ and for the Gospel Mission, would have been 69 years old on June 18, 2016 and we will celebrate his life in a memorial that day. Starting at 5pm, we will meet at the ballroom of the Murray Hotel for the celebration of Alan's life. There will be time for sharing stories and remembrances. And we will sing and move in the Gospel Zikr in his memory.

This Memorial will be lead by the Rev. Perry Wali Pike, who graduated from The graduate Theological Union, Starr King School for the Ministry with his Masters of Divinity, and who is also a Sheikh in the Sufi Ruhaniat International order.

Hence the service will be a reflection of Alan's own Christian and Sufi fusion devotion. If you have never had any experience with Sufis, please know their emphasis is on acceptance and honoring of all beings and spiritual paths.

Bring anything that reminds you of Alan that you would want to lay on the memorial table. If you cannot attend, but want to send something to be read, a member of the group coordinating the memorial would be honored to do so for you. If you have any questions, please contact Lynda Aiman-Smith at laimansmith@gmail.com or at 575-519-1680.
