GRANT COUNTY ROLLING STONES GEM & MINERAL SOCIETY
Our meetings are at the Silver City Senior Center, 204 W. Victoria Street. We begin with a Potluck Supper. Bring a dish and your own eating utensils. The Business Meeting begins at 6:45 pm and then the famous Rock Draw, followed by the Program presented by our own Kevin H Cook on the activities at the local copper mines of Chino and Tyrone. Saturday, July 16th--8 am, Field Trip.
We will meet at the Visitor's Center parking lot on Hudson Street at 8 am. We will sign in and connect ride sharing there. We will leave at 8:30am. Our field trip this month will be to collect quartz "diamonds" and fossils near the Kingston area of the Black Range. Bring lunch, water, chairs, cameras, binoculars, hammers, buckets and bags.
