Photographer Ann McMahon will be presenting a talk and showing canvases in the next few weeks from her portfolio GǣThe Disappearing Mining Landscape of Grant County."

The first presentation is at the Silver City Museum for their Brown Bag Lunch program, Saturday, August 6. The program starts at Noon at the Museum. Contact details are on the Museum's website.

The next presentation also is for the portfolio, GǣThe Disappearing Mining Landscape of Grant CountyGǥ, and this will be at the September general meeting of the Rolling Stones Gem and Mineral Society in Silver City. The date is September 8 at 6pm. You might also like to know, the Rolling Stones put on a great gem and mineral show each year. This year's show is is over the Labor Day weekend.

Also a reminder, if you are in the northern part of our enchanting state, you might want to stop by the Farmington Gateway Museum. McMahon's portfolio GǣCoyote TalesGǥ opens August 22. Details are on my news page.

You can have a wonderful time right now with the Clay Festival in Silver City. It continues until July 31 with events and fun all over town. In support of the Clay Festival, two of her canvases are on display at the Silver City Visitors Center.
