Concert Band of the Southwest
"First Concert of the Fall"

The Concert Band of the Southwest, conducted by David Kendrick, will kick off it's seventh season with "First Concert of the Fall" Wednesday, September 28, at the Cobre High School Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:00 pm; doors open at 6:30 pm. Seating is open and all are free. Donations for our sheet music library and expenses are gratefully accepted. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, so if you need a donor letter for your taxes, just let us know.

Volunteer musicians ranging in age from 15 to 75 will perform a unique selection of contemporary pieces, movie-theme music, traditional band ensemble pieces and marches, including "Thrive" composed by Sean O'Loughlin, "Chant and Jubilo", by W. Frances McBeth, Selections from "West Side Story", composed by Berstein and Sondheim, with arrangement by Jay Bocook, "Rollo Takes A Walk", by David Maslanka, "Torch of Liberty March" by Karl King and "All Aboard! This Train is Bound for Glory", by Nathan Farrell and will feature the Concert Band of the Southwest trombone section.
