In anticipation of the changeover from summer to winter clothing, the Town and Country Garden Club Thrift Store, 606 No. Bullard, will be having a huge, blowout sale. All summer clothing will be offered at super special prices, with the thrift store being open Monday, September 26 through Friday, September 30 with the hours each day from 9:00 to 3:00, and again on Saturday, October 1 from 8:30 to 2:00. Winter clothing sales will begin Thursday, October 6. The thrift store has been at its current location for more than 40 years.

Donations from interested people, and Town and Country Garden Club volunteers, make it possible to give away almost $50,000 each year to many kinds of charitable organizations. Also helped are the special Rose Gardens at Memory Lane Cemetery, begun by the Town and Country Garden Club about 30 years ago. Besides the beauty of the roses, the two gardens act as repositories for the ashes of loved ones and currently more than 300 have been so honored over the years.
