The Hi Lo Silvers (HLS) are beginning their seventeenth year. This choral ensemble of sixteen women has openings for singers. The HLS encourage women who would like to sing to attend a rehearsal and/or contact one of the members.

The HLS rehearse on Wednesdays from 12:30 -2:30 in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church at 1915 N. Swan Street in Silver City. The Director, Nada Dates, can be contacted at 402-214-6254 or via email to thedates@gmail.com. Another contact is Caroline Baldwin at 388-8771 or via email at cqhbaldwin@q.com.

The HLS was founded and directed for fourteen years by Valdeen Wooton. For the past couple of years, the HLS have been directed by Nada Dates and accompanied by Rhonda Gorog.

The next HLS concerts will be Mother's Day weekend, May 12 Friday at 7 pm on May 14 Sunday at 3 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church.

The ensemble sings standards, folk tunes, spirituals, and songs from Broadway and films. Also, the HLS sing patriotic songs at Ft. Bayard in the celebration of Memorial Day in May, Veterans Day in November, and Laying of Wreaths in December. Occasionally, HLS sing for community organizations. The members have fun singing together.

Anyone who would like to join is invited to attend a rehearsal and talk with Director Nada Dates. Come on Wednesday at 12:30 and sing with the HLS.
