Do Over, a one-act play by Scott Knight, will be performed by Aldo Leopold Charter School students, 6 pm, Wednesday and Thursday, May 3-4. Cosponsored by the Silver City Community Theater, the play appears in the Webb Theater, adjacent to the Fine Arts Center and Theater (FACT) on the campus of Western New Mexico University.

Free tickets are available at Javalina and Vicki's on Market Street, Gila Hike and Bike on College Street, Jumping Cactus Coffee and Vintage Fantasies on Bullard Street, and Tranquil Buzz on Yankie Street. Donations at the time of the performance will be welcomed.

Do Over reveals why the world is so unfair for some and so wonderfully lucky for others: an Albert Einstein invention called the Do-over Machine. The machine has often fallen into the wrong hands. And in this one instance, kids from Jackson Heights School District prove no wiser than their elders, drawing the attention of the FBI, Albert Einstein, and two former presidents.

Knight, teacher of drama, English and history at Aldo Leopold Middle School, has been a contributor in Silver City drama productions for almost 20 years. Besides writing the play, he has designed and directed it. Knight says that he has a passion for teaching drama because it gives his students such a positive experience.
