STANDING WOMEN

1 pm local time on Mother's Day, Sunday 14th May 2017

The women of Ohio call upon the women of the world to stand with them in support of a better world for all children and the seven generations beyond them. Each May hundreds of thousands of women and girls, along with the men and boys they love, in 75 countries and on all continents of the world stand together in parks, on beaches, in churches, at graduation ceremonies, in their backyards and at school yards or anyplace they can find to stand in a global wave of humanity.

Come to Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths, 355 Bursum Road, Glenwood, NM and participate in STANDING WOMEN. At 1pm local time we will gather around a labyrinth and ring our bells to signify the beginning of 5 minutes of silence and ring again at 1.05pm. Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths will be open until dusk for you to walk any or all of the five labyrinths and a maze.

Bring a bell, your family and friends just before 1 pm on Mother's Day to Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths. Second house on the left after mile marker 3 on Route 159 /Bursum Road, off Highway 180, between Glenwood and Alma. There is a metal labyrinth hanging at the gate.

DECLARATION OF STANDING
We are standing for the world's children and grandchildren, and for the seven generations to come.
We dream of a world where all of our children have safe drinking water, clean air to breathe, and enough food to eat.
A world where they have access to a basic education to develop their minds and healthcare to nurture their growing bodies.
A world where they have a warm, safe and loving place to call home.
A world where they don't live in fear of violence--in their homes, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, or in their world.
This is the world of which we dream.
This is the cause for which we stand.

Admission is free although donations are accepted towards upkeep.
