Sunday, June 11 at 10 AM, 3845 North Swan Street. "New Member Ceremony" - Rev. Azima Lila Forest will officiate as new members join the UUFSC in search of higher purpose, stronger community, and deeper spiritual life. She will discuss the deeper meaning of UU membership in these interesting times and speak movingly of the commitment one makes upon joining our Fellowship. This is an open invitation for friends, family and others to join the Fellowship in a short simple welcoming ceremony, and current members will be prompted to renew their commitments. This will also be a Family Program, which will include a Story for All Ages, a traditional UU practice of using stories to bring to life UU Principles for the entire congregation. Young members will participate throughout our service such as ringing the bell to begin service or assisting to light the Chalice. Finally, for the youngest participants, we have put together several activity bags that contain coloring sheets, wikki stix, and other items to help pass the time during service - feel free to pick one up on your way in. The focus will be on the 1st Principle: The Inherent Worth of Each Person.
