The Kiwanis Aktion Club of Silver City is holding a fundraising Rummage and Bake Sale on Saturday, June 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the GRU Building located at 1607 N. Gold Street. Aktion Club members are working to raise needed funds in order to continue their community projects that include gift baskets for Silver Care and Fort Bayard patients, purchasing needed school supplies for local children, and many other community service oriented activities.

Aktion club is the only community-service club for adults living with disabilities. Aktion Club allows members to develop initiative and leadership skills in serving their communities while enabling their integration into society. Aktion Club originated in Florida in 1987 and was adopted as an official sponsored program of Kiwanis International in 2000.
