The Nonprofit Resource Group is offering a free brown bag training on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from noon to 1 p.m. in the College Street Plaza Suite 5, 301 W. College Ave. NRG Consultant, Lisa Jimenez will present on "Advocacy: Myth vs. Reality." Jimenez will discuss the difference between advocacy and lobbying, including tips on building a realistic and effective advocacy strategy. Participants can learn how to advocate on the behalf of their nonprofit's mission without violating Internal Revenue Service charitable regulations.
