A Guest at Your Table: Unitarian Universalist Service Committee's Social Justice Programs
Nov. 26 at 10 am, 3845 North Swan Street

Ron Gabioud & Chellee Chase will moderate. Annually, the UUFSC supports the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee in a fund-raising effort to promote social justice on critical human rights issues. The UUSC was founded during World War II to help victims of Nazi oppression in Europe. Learn how the organization is currently on the front lines partnering with over 75 grassroots organizations around the U.S. and the world addressing three core areas: Rights at Risk; Environmental Justice and Climate Change; and Economic Justice. This will also be a Family Program Sunday, continuing the new curriculum of  "Sing to the Power" which uses the metaphor of the four elements, earth, air, fire, and water, as a framework to explore different forms of power that can be used for positive change and strives to develop children's sense of themselves as leaders in making change in their communities. There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.
