(Photo by Tom Spinker)Southwestern New Mexico Audubon Society will present a progam titled "Herptiles and the Venomous Snakes of Southwestern New Mexico" on Friday, December 1. The program will be at 7:00 pm in Room 219 of WNMU's Harlan Hall at 12th and Alabama Streets.

Tim Geddes, co-founder of The Friends of City of Rocks State Park, will discuss many aspects of our local "herptiles" - snakes and amphibians. Tim will use photographs and his own drawings to cover classification, skin, and reproduction of various amphibians and reptiles. He will also discuss reptile venom and the treatment of snakebite.

The presentation is free and the public is welcome. Light refreshments follow.
