Silver City, NM (May 24, 2018) Silver City officials are redirecting traffic to accommodate the 2018 Annual Silver City Blues Festival road closures for the 2018 Annual Silver City Blues Festival. Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) encourages its patients, clients, and employees to plan for the event taking place this Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27, 2018.

Access to healthcare services at both the HMS Silver City Community Health Center and HMS Med Square Clinic can be obtained directly through 11th Street during the Pope Street closures.

According to the Mimbres Region Arts Council (MRAC), all street closures will begin Thursday, May 24 at 12:00pm and will continue through Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 7:30pm.

They include:
• 12th Street
o From the intersection of 12th & Main - northeast corner to southwest corner
o To the south facing drive-way of the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot
• Main Street
o From the intersection of 12th & Main - northeast corner to southwest corner
o To the intersection of 13th & Main - northwest corner to southeast corner leaving room for cars to exit the First Savings Bank drive through.
• 13th Street
o From the intersection of 13th & Main - northwest corner to southeast corner leaving room for cars to exit the First Savings Bank drive through.
o To the intersection of 13th & Pope - northeast corner leaving room for car to enter the Furniture Gallery parking lot to southeast corner.
• Pope Street
o From south side of 13th Street.
o To north side or 11th Street.
• The Town owned parking lot located on the southeast corner of 12th Street & Pope Street.

Please contact the MRAC at (575) 538-2505, if a problem arises during the event. The Silver City Police Department will provide security throughout the event and will be in charge of traffic control.
