linda john woodwardAt the Silver City Rotary Club’s meeting on Tuesday, September 25, Rotary District Governor Linda Woodward will give an update on the state of Rotary District 5520. This is part of Ms. Woodward’s efforts to visit every single club in Rotary District 5520. Rotary is divided among zones and regional districts. District 5520 covers New Mexico and West Texas. Linda Woodward, as district governor, acts as an officer of Rotary International and leads the 68 clubs within the district.

The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at noon for lunch in the Sunset Room of the WNMU Student Cafeteria. The club welcomes members of the public to the meetings. Guests are asked to contribute $10 for a hot lunch with salad, dessert and coffee.

Since its founding in 1923, the Silver City Rotary Club has provided support and service to numerous non-profit organizations and civic causes in Silver City and Grant County as well as supporting and participating in humanitarian projects sponsored by Rotary International.
