Truth or Consequences, NM, December 6, 2018—The Black Range Ranger District of the Gila National Forest will no longer be providing water at the Beaverhead Administrative Site from October 1 through March 30 each year. Effective immediately, the water at the administrative site will only be turned on when employees are stationed there, traditionally from April 1 through September 30.

The primarily function of water being available at Beaverhead is to support Forest Service employees during field seasons, but was also made available for members of the public. The water at Beaverhead has traditionally been on year-round, but this past fall the Forest Service has noted an uptick in vandalism to the water spigot and exploitation of the water system.
