Mimbres, NM, September 18, 2019 -- The Gila National Forest, Wilderness Ranger District is pleased to announce an additional temporary fuelwood area available again this fall. The fuelwood Is cut and stacked in decks and is a result of the Gatton's Park Collaborative Forest Restoration Program.
You must get a fuelwood permit at either the Wilderness Ranger District in Mimbres or the Silver City Ranger District/Supervisor's Office in Silver City. The fuelwood is available at the Celebrations site -- adjacent to FSR 4078U, off the west side of NM Hwy 35 (between mile post 17 and 18).
