It’s Girl Scout Cookie Time! You can buy all your favorites starting Jan. 19th thru March 3rd for only $3.50 a box. This year we have Thin Mints, Camel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Shortbreads, Thank-A-Lots, Lemonades, and our newest Mango Crèmes. These tangy refreshing tropical treats are packed with great taste and vitamins.

As you stock up on your favorites don’t forget to purchase boxes for our deployed soldiers overseas.

The tradition of Girls Scouts selling cookies began in 1917. Many things have changed since then. For instance, the customers are now offered 8 varieties instead of just one, and moms and leaders no longer have to bake them. The one thing that hasn’t changed is that the Girl Scout Cookie program is still the premier entrepreneurial program for all girls. Through selling cookies girls learn and practice valuable life skills like goal setting, money management, teamwork, decision making, people skills and business ethics. Local proceeds help fund programs and activities through Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest that build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Girls will be selling in their neighborhoods and communities and to their family and friends. If you don’t know a Girl Scout call the local Girl Scout Office 538-2481 and we will put you in touch with troop in your area. Cookie Booths will also be open in communities starting on January 26th. You can also visit our website at gsdsw.org to find cookies.
