WASHINGTON - On his weekly radio call today, U.S. Senator Tom Udall discussed last week's agreement on Senate rules, pay equity for women and immigration reform.

0:00 - Udall opens the call with his thoughts on filibuster reform. Last week's agreement did not include a talking filibuster, but the Senate adopted measures Udall had been working toward.

0:43 - "Ultimately, we passed a bipartisan package that I hope will make us more productive. I'll be tracking the results and how we proceed. And moving forward, I'll continue to fight for the reforms we need to make the Senate a more accountable institution. We've made progress, but I'm not done working to change the way we do business in Washington."

1:28 - Udall marks the fourth anniversary of the Lilly Ledbetter Act being signed into law and urges passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act to help end the gender pay gap.

2:45 - "…Last week, I signed on again to cosponsor the Paycheck Fairness Act. Women across this country have earned equal pay. It's time to close the gender wage gap. I hope the Senate moves quickly to pass this legislation."

3:12 – Udall gives his thoughts on the bipartisan immigration reform framework that was announced yesterday.

4:08 – “New Mexico is a border state, and getting a good bill in place is especially important for us. What was unveiled yesterday is a good starting point.
