Are you interested in making a difference in someone's life by enhancing their literacy skills? Become a part of this rewarding volunteer opportunity with free training provided by the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy.

T.A.B.E. - Test of Adult Basic Education
Thursday, February 21st at the Silver City Public Library, 1pm-4pm
Become certified in assessment testing for adult basic skills and help with testing program for students at Literacy Link-Leamos. Refreshments provided. Training is FREE, but space is limited. Please call for registration and more information. 575-388-0892

Adult Basic Literacy Training
Friday and Saturday, February 22-23 at the Silver City Public Library (two full days of training).
Learn basic tutoring skills, strategies comprehension and how to assess your learner's needs. Whether you are a seasoned tutor or interested in becoming a new tutor, this class is sure to enhance your skills while you are having fun! Refreshments and lunch provided. ESL - English as a Second Language Training
Friday and Saturday, March 8-9 at the Silver City Public Library (two full days of training).
A whole language based training to help enhance your learner's ability to increase skills in English. If you are new to ESL or experienced, this is a great opportunity to help individuals in the community. Some of our learners have gone on to gain citizenship and become LL-L volunteers! If you would like to help others learn English and increase their skills and abilities, please register for the ESL training. Refreshments and lunch provided. Training is FREE, but space is limited.
