A local historian will give a lecture and slide presentation, "An Armchair Tour of Historic Buildings”, at the Silver City Museum Annex on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 12 noon. The presentation is part of the Museum's ongoing series of free Brown Bag lunchtime presentations. The Museum Annex is located at 302 West Broadway, on the northwest corner of Broadway and Arizona, in the former PNM building.

Come and learn about one of Silver City’s early citizens.  Mrs. Warren came to Silver City in 1882 and became a widow at thirty-one years of age in 1885. She successfully continued her husband’s insurance and real estate agency, unusual for a woman in that era.   The presentation will cover Gospel Hill, and part of downtown by viewing PowerPoint slides of historical buildings, some of which are connected to Mrs. Warren through her construction business or personal use.
