“Cynthia and I want to wish our fellow New Mexicans a very merry Christmas.  I look forward to Christmas each year as an opportunity to spend time with family, look back on old memories, and most importantly, to celebrate the birth of our Lord and savior.  I hope that you and your family enjoy a truly blessed holiday.
 
“Please join me in praying for our troops who are serving away from home this Christmas, and in remembering their families.  I am thankful for their continued bravery and sacrifices for our freedom.  And, as we celebrate, I encourage you to remember those less fortunate—our friends and neighbors who may have lost a job, or who are facing difficult times.  This season is a great opportunity to give, volunteer, and reach out to others.
