N. Main/US 70 Las Cruces:
The NMDOT with G. Sandoval Construction have begun work along US 70 from Chestnut to just south of Solano Drive interchange. Motorists will encounter a 10 foot-one lane restriction for both east and westbound traffic. Speed limit will be posted at 35 MPH. The contractor will be working within the median and on the inner lanes. Concrete wall barriers will be placed throughout the work zone to secure the public and to provide a safe passage for the traveling public.

Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route, and to make adjustments as their commute time may increase due to heavy traffic on N. Main or other routes. Should an incident occur within the work zone and is not considered life threatening. Law enforcement is asking drivers to move their vehicles off onto a side road, or parking lot so that they can assess the situation in a controlled environment.

The City of Las Cruces will be making modifications to their bus route which can be found on their web at http://www.las-cruces.org/Departments/Transportation/Services/RoadRUNNER%20Transit.aspx
