Subj: Funeral Details For Navajo Code Talker

1. New Mexico Code Talker Chester Nez, Who Passed Away, Is Being Highly Honored By The Us Marine Corps. In Attendance Will Be The Usmc Asst Commandant, The Sgtmaj And Other Govt And Civilian Dignitaries Including The Nm Governor. Cnn And Fox Will Do The Funeral Coverage. The Marine Corps Will Provide The Honor Guard.

2. Visitation Is On Monday 09Jun14 From 1700-2000 Hours At The French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd Ne In Albuquerque.

3. Funeral Mass Will Be Conducted On Tuesday At 1000 Hours At Our Lady Of Fatima At The Corner Of Lamar And Morningside In Albuquerque.

4. Nez Will Be Put To Rest In The National Cemetery In Santa Fe At 1330 The Same Day.

5. Full Uniform W/Blazer Is Required For Mass, But Not At The Cemetery.

6. Dept Commandant Shackelford Will Present A Certificate To The Family.

7. It Is Recommended That As Many As Possible Be In Attendance, Since Mr. Nez Was From Albuquerque.
