Santa Fe, NM – Take a walk on the wildflower side at Hyde Memorial State Park! Join volunteer guide Ken Collins for a series of wildflower walks every Saturday through August 10th. Walks begin at 10 a.m. departing from the visitor center.

"Monsoon rains bring abundant, beautiful mountain wildflowers so bring a camera, wear sturdy shoes and pack water and snacks for a morning jaunt in the mountains," said Interpretive Ranger Peter Lipscomb. Lipscomb said the hike will be about two miles round trip – depending on what visitors find.

The event is free for valid New Mexico State Parks annual pass holders; otherwise a $5 per vehicle day use fee applies. Day use permits are available at the self-pay station adjacent to the visitor center.

Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Hyde Memorial State Park is just eight miles east of Santa Fe via NM State Highway 475.
